Cricket World Cup 2023 is the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup. Cricket World Cup is one of the most famous sports occasions in the World. People liked the Cricket World Cup very much in the past and also in the present because of its thriller and entertaining matches. The Cricket World Cup brings whole nations together in the spirit of competition. ODI World Cup 2023 starts on 5th October 2023 and ends on 19 November 2023. In this World Cup 10 teams will be in action. The history of the Cricket World Cup is very memorable for all the teams, players, and also for fans. By the passive of time ODI World Cup became popular all over the World. In history, Australia is the team that dominated in the winning percentage of ODI World Cup finals.

Tournament Format:

In Cricket World Cup 2023, the tournament format is round-robin style where all the teams will play against each other in the round-robin style. It is the 50 overs tournament each team will play 50 overs. The winning side in the match earns two points. If the match has no results, both teams are given one point. If the Semifinal match will not be played due to rain or any other issue the reserve day will be selected for the match and if the Final match is not played due to rain the reserve day will be selected in this situation. After playing all the team’s round-robin stage matches top four teams will Qualify for the Semifinal. After the Semifinals winner of the Semifinals will play the Final. A total of 48 matches will go to play. This is the format of Cricket World Cup 2023. In History tournament format will be round-robin style and sometimes the tournament will played in the form of Group stages. In Group Stages two groups will be made Group A and Group B. Both groups have equal five five teams. After the Group stages, the Quarter-finals will be played top four teams from the quarter-finals qualify for the Semifinals, and then two teams will qualify for the Final.


Host Country and Venues :

This ODI World Cup is the 13th edition of the World Cup which is hosted by the country India. In India 10 iconic venues will be selected by ICC and BCCI for thriller matches. The people of India were very excited to see world-class teams and many world-class players in action at their home ground. Venues where matches will played in India are Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram in addition to Hyderabad will host Warm-up matches from 29 September 2023 to 3 October 2023. All the Venues of the event are very iconic and beautiful.
